Center for Racial Justice Speaker Series
Possibilities of Palestinian Refusal: Against Disciplining Knowledge and Movement

Lara SheehiSheehi

Assistant Professor, Clinical Psychology, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies

November 21, 2024 @ 4pm | Cervantes & Velasquez Room

This talk will discuss the ways that psychic intrusions are central features of settler colonial logics and how they are used with specific intent to disrupt solidarities. Palestine-Lebanon solidarities will be used as a "case study" to read the psycho-politico-affective forces that demobilize.

Cosponsored by Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, Feminist Studies, Center for the Middle East and North Africa, the People's University, the Peggy & Jack Baskin Foundation, Faculty for Justice in Palestine, and Students for Justice in Palestine.
